20.5 kW Hybrid Power Plant
Department of Converters for Renewable Energy Acquisition
At the company’s new headquarters located at 28–30 Aleksandrowska Street in Toruń, there is a 41.2 kWp hybrid power plant based on our proprietary converters:
- PS100PV/5.5 kW – single-phase photovoltaic inverter, 5.5 kW
- PS100H/5.5 kW – single-phase hybrid (solar-wind) inverter, 5.5 kW
- PS300/PV/10 kW – three-phase photovoltaic inverter, 10 kW
This power plant serves as a laboratory for the Department of Converters for Renewable Energy Acquisition.
The source of electrical energy is 139 photovoltaic panels with a total output of 38.2 kWp and a horizontal-axis wind turbine rated at 3 kW.
The panels are installed on the roof of the production hall (Power Plant I) and on the ground (Power Plant II).
The wind turbine is located in the southern part of the headquarters on a 15-meter-high mast.
Technical specifications:
1. Solar Power Plant I:
- Installed capacity: 17.5 kWp
- Number of panels: 70, type REC 250PE, 250 Wp each
- Panels divided into 4 groups: 1 – 5 kWp, 2 – 5 kWp, 3 – 5 kWp, 4 – 2.5 kWp
- Inverter: groups 1 to 3 are handled by PS100PV/5.5 kW inverters manufactured by ZE TWERD. Group 4 and the wind turbine are handled by the PS100H/5.5 kW hybrid inverter manufactured by ZE TWERD
2. Solar Power Plant II:
- Installed capacity: 20.7 kWp
- Number of panels: 69, type BVM6610M-300, 300 Wp each
- Panels divided into 2 groups: 1 – 10.5 kWp, 2 – 10.2 kWp
- Each group is connected to a PS300 inverter with 10 kW output and two independent MPPT inputs
3. Horizontal-axis Wind Power Plant:
- Shaft power at 12 m/s wind speed: 3 kW
- Turbine: three-phase permanent magnet generator 3 x 400 V AC, 50 Hz
- Number of blades: 3
- Blade length: 1.8 m
- Mast height: 15 m
- Inverter: PS100H/5.5 kW by ZE TWERD – shared by the wind turbine and the fourth group of solar panels
