This system allows bidirectional transmission of electric energy and ensures proper operation during voltage drops or sags, especially in control systems used at oil wells.
During power outages, the drives lose power, and the weight of the falling liquid starts to rotate pump elements in the opposite direction. Uncontrolled backflow can cause damage to pump or drive components and lead to huge financial losses due to production stoppage. The developed system uses the kinetic energy of the falling oil column to slow down its descent and enables immediate resumption of production, greatly reducing downtime.
